Pre-polymer diazo photo-emulsion (dual cure) from AMEX for preparing flat screens and screens for glass printing. Suitable for water-based and solvent-based inks, with high resistance to abrasive components.
Features
- Dual-cure emulsion, blue colour
- Excellent abrasion resistance
- Excellent chemical and mechanical resistance for glass and ceramic printing
- Excellent definition up to 150 T/cm
- Suitable for long runs
- Solids 46%, viscosity approx. 30,000 cps (25 °C)
Sensitising
Always work in a dark room or under yellow light. Add demineralised water to the diazo and shake well, then add it to the emulsion and mix thoroughly. De-aeration time about 2 hours. The diazo is supplied with the emulsion.
Coating, drying and exposure
Indicatively 1–2 coats on the print side and 1–2 on the squeegee side. Dry at 30–35 °C for 40–60 minutes. Exposure example: 120 T/cm mesh, 5000 W lamp at 1 m, 55 seconds – always determine the correct time with an exposure calculator. Develop by soaking in water at room temperature for about 5 minutes, rinse with a medium-pressure water jet and dry at about 35 °C.
Catalysis and reclaiming
For long runs SCREEN-CHEM CATALYST SPECIAL increases chemical and mechanical resistance (screen usable after 12 h at room temperature or 45 min at 50 °C); a catalysed screen can no longer be reclaimed. Otherwise reclaim with SCREEN-CHEM STRIP.
Storage
Emulsion: 1 year at 15–25 °C in the original container. Diazo: store at about 5 °C. Sensitised emulsion: pot life 4 weeks at 4–10 °C, in the dark.
